3級のEメールでは受信文中にある二つの質問に答えます。準2級など別の形式と混同せず、受験回の問題冊子の指示を優先してください。またEメールの解答は指定の欄のみを対象にするため、余白へのメモを採点対象と考えないようにします。

書けない原因は「語数不足」以外にある

1．何を聞かれているかを読み落とす

What did you do yesterday? Who went with you?なら「何をしたか」と「誰と行ったか」が必要です。最初の答えを詳しく書いても二つ目を欠けば内容が不足します。疑問詞に番号をつけ、各質問へ一文を対応させます。

2．自分の意見が理由二つに分かれない

I like reading because it is fun.だけでは二つ目の理由がありません。First, it helps me learn words.とSecond, I can discover different ideas.のように異なる理由を先に用意します。理由の言い換えを数だけ増やさないようにします。

3．アプリで理解できても主語・時制を自力で書けない

選択式や音声中心の課題で正解できても、英作文では三単現の-s、didの後の原形、冠詞などが必要になります。学校の文法プリントにあった間違いを自作の短文へ転用し、翌日にも書けるかを確認します。

4．語数を埋めようとして質問から外れる

15〜25語に届くよう関係のない話を足すより、二つの質問へ直接答える方が重要です。長く書ける能力を示す場ではなく、限られた語数で必要な内容を正確に伝える課題です。
