主語が複数でもas follows（sつき）
The procedures are as follows: と The procedure is as follows: の両方でas followsを使います。as follow と主語の数に合わせて変えるのは誤りです。次に列挙される項目を読み、項目が尽くされているか、単なる例示なのかまで確認します。
Followingとthe followingは冠詞theの有無で変わる
Cambridge Grammarは、Following the meeting のfollowingを「〜の後で」と説明し、the following morningを「次の朝」と説明しています。Following＋名詞句とthe following＋名詞を混同しないでください。
A was followed by B：先行するのはA
The test was followed by an interview. なら試験の後に面接です。The interview was followed by the test. なら逆の順序です。was followed byの主語が先、byの後が後です。時系列の正誤問題では必ず矢印で整理します。
後に続く計画は実施済みとは限らない
The following week, the school plans to publish a report. と書かれている場合、計画はあっても公開済みとは限りません。時間を示す表現だけでなく、was published / will publish / plans to publishという動詞と時制を同時に確認します。

英文A｜Editorial Workflow（慶英会オリジナル・架空）
Fictional Student Editorial Workflow. The editorial team’s steps were as follows: first, check the original source table; second, correct the labels on the chart; third, submit the revised draft. The first step was completed on Monday. It was followed by correcting the labels on Tuesday. The final step, submitting the revised draft, took place on Wednesday. The group recorded the completion of each task but did not say that the revised draft had been formally approved. The order was important because changing labels before checking the original numbers could introduce further mistakes.

Fictional Workshop Feedback Schedule. A training session took place on Monday. The following day, Tuesday, the organisers sent a short survey to participants. Responses were due by noon on Friday. Following the deadline, the team reviewed the submitted feedback on Friday afternoon. A summary report was planned for the following week, but no report had yet been published when this notice was written. The message listed the events in chronological order and made a clear distinction between completed activities and a future plan.

【架空の編集作業手順】編集チームの作業は次のとおりだった。第一に元の資料表を確認する。第二にグラフのラベルを直す。第三に修正版原稿を提出する。最初の手順は月曜日に完了した。その後、火曜日にラベルが修正された。最後の手順である修正版原稿の提出は水曜日に行われた。グループは各作業の完了を記録したが、修正版が正式に承認されたとは述べていない。元の数値を確認する前にラベルを変えると新たな誤りが生じ得るため、順序が重要だった。
英文Bの全文和訳
【架空の研修アンケート日程】研修は月曜日に行われた。その翌日である火曜日に、主催者は参加者へ短いアンケートを送った。回答期限は金曜日の正午だった。締切の後、チームは金曜午後に集まった回答を見直した。概要報告書の公開は翌週に計画されていたが、この通知が書かれた時点で報告書はまだ公開されていなかった。通知には出来事が時間順に記され、完了した活動と将来の計画が明確に区別されていた。

通常は The steps are as follows: が正しい形です。主語が複数でもfollowsを使います。
Q. Following the meetingは会議中ですか？
いいえ。「会議の後で」という意味です。会議の最中ならduring the meetingを使います。
Q. the following dayは何日後ですか？
直前に示された日の翌日です。現在から見た明日という意味とは限りません。
