結論｜should・had better・ought to・must
- should＋原形：You should check the answer.（確認したほうがよい）。一般的な助言。
- shouldn’t＋原形：You shouldn’t rush.（急がない方がよい）。否定の助言。
- had better＋原形：You’d better leave now.（今出た方がよい）。不利益を避ける強い勧め。
- had better not＋原形：You’d better not touch it.（触らない方がよい）。
- ought to／ought not to＋原形：We ought to check the sources.（適切さの助言）。
- must＋原形：Visitors must sign in.（署名しなければならない）。規則・義務。
should・ought to・had betterは意味が重なる場面もあります。had betterは必ず命令を示すわけではなく、行動しない場合に困る可能性を含む助言として理解してください。mustn’tは『してはいけない』という禁止、don’t have toは『する必要がない』という意味で異なります。
