結論｜come across・run into・bump into・happen toの違い
- come across＋人・物：We came across an old map.（偶然見つけた）。came acrossの過去形に注意。
- run into＋人：I ran into my old teacher.（偶然会った）。
- run into＋問題：We ran into a problem.（予期しない問題が起きた）。
- bump into＋人・物：I bumped into a classmate.（偶然会った）／I bumped into a chair.（椅子にぶつかった）。
- happen to＋原形：I happened to find the map.（たまたま見つけた）。Do you happen to know …? は丁寧な質問にも使う。
come across・run into・bump intoは人との予期しない出会いで重なることがあります。絶対に一つの言い方しか使えないと覚えず、後ろに『人』『物』『問題』のどれが続いているか、そして実際に何が起きたかを確認します。

オリジナル英文：At Alder Grove School, the history club was preparing a small display about the town. On Monday, the members came across an old photograph in a box of donated materials. They had not been looking for that particular photograph. On Tuesday, Yuna ran into a former teacher at the public library and asked whether she knew the building in the picture. The teacher happened to have an old town map in her bag, but she could not identify the date of the photograph. While walking through the crowded library, Ken accidentally bumped into a chair; nobody was hurt. On Wednesday, the club ran into a problem with its printer, which would not print the image clearly. The students changed the settings and printed three clear copies. They recorded which discoveries and meetings were unexpected, and which problems had been fixed. The exhibit was scheduled for Friday, but visitors had not yet seen it when the report was written.

happen toはどう使いますか？
happen to＋動詞原形で『たまたま～する』です。Do you happen to know …?は丁寧な情報の尋ね方としても使います。
run into a problemとsolve a problemは同じですか？
いいえ。run intoは問題に遭遇したこと、solveは解決したことです。
