学校公式の英語教育：多読・暗唱・New Crown・プレゼンテーション
- 普通部の授業案内によれば英語は中1で週5時間、中2で週6時間。中1は24人学級、中2・中3は40人学級を約20人に分けて授業し、習熟度別授業は行っていません。
- 英語科では4技能を統合し、三省堂New Crownを中心に、eラーニング・タブレットでのプレゼンテーション・多読・暗唱を行っています。
- 普通部の労作教育の公式説明ではOxford Reading Tree約200冊を用いた多読や、図書室での追加の多読を紹介します。
- 英語で発表する授業は短い発表から題材選定・スライド制作へ発展します。英語力の把握のための英検CATやTOEFL Primary/Juniorの機会も紹介されています。
- 制度上の補習はありませんが、担任・教科担当が随時の個別学習相談・質問に対応すると学校FAQに明記されています。

多読・プレゼンテーションと英検3級Writingの違い
学校の多読で英文を理解できても、英検のEメールでは相手の二つの質問に抜けなく答える必要があります。また、プレゼンテーションで意見を話せても、筆記では語数と二つの異なる理由を正確な文法で示す必要があります。英検への対応を学校の多読活動に無理に置き換えず、別の短い作文で確認しましょう。
