英作文で理由を説明するとき、There is / are は存在、It is + 形容詞 + to do は評価、have は所有・保持を表すのが基本です。「生徒が学習することは大切だ」を There is important … と書くと不自然になるので、役割を区別しましょう。
対象：中高一貫校の中学生・高校生と英検の意見英作文を学ぶ人。これは英検の級別出題形式を模したものではなく、すべてオリジナルの文法・意味修正演習です。

最初に覚える4つの原則
- There is a reason / There are several options は存在を述べる。
- It is important to … は行為への評価を述べる。
- have / has は所有・保持、または経験・特徴を説明する。
- There are many benefits などの曖昧な存在文だけで終えず、具体的な理由を説明する。
最初の誤文を修正する
修正前：
There is important to read every day.
改善例：
It is important to read regularly.
和訳：定期的に読むことは重要だ。 修正理由：評価を述べるので It is important to …。
