person-hours（人時）は、作業人数に各人の時間を掛けたり足し合わせたりした延べ作業量です。4人が2時間ずつ作業した場合は8 person-hoursですが、作業した実人数は4人で、経過した時間は2時間です。英文要約では人数、延べ時間、実際の経過時間を別の数字として扱います。
