英検準2級プラスの意見英作文では、can(可能)、should(すべき・推奨)、must(強い義務・必要性)を区別しましょう。「オンラインで講義できる」から「全員がオンライン受講しなければならない」へ結論を飛躍させないことが重要です。慶英会独自8テーマ32課題・50〜60語模範8本で学びます。

対象:中高一貫校生・高校生の準2級プラスWriting対策。本教材の意見問題と模範は独自制作で、英検の公式過去問ではありません。特定の賛否を要求せず、設問と根拠を一致させる練習です。

  1. Should schools offer online office hours for English questions?。賛否とその範囲を確認する。
  2. can=可能性、should=理由を踏まえた推奨、must=強い義務で意味が異なる。
  3. Online support is possible and may be useful, but it should remain optional with alternatives.
  4. 模範英作文(53語)

Yes, schools should consider optional online office hours. Students with long commutes could ask questions from home, and teachers could answer common difficulties efficiently. However, not every learner has reliable internet access, so schools should keep other ways to ask questions. The possibility of online support does not mean everyone must use it.

    【全文和訳】任意のオンライン質問時間を検討すべきだ。通学時間が長い生徒は自宅から質問でき、教師も共通の疑問に答えやすい。しかし通信環境は一様でないため、別の質問手段も残す。可能だから全員に義務付けるわけではない。

  3. A self-service machine may reduce waiting, but librarians should remain available to help visitors.
  4. 模範英作文(52語)

Yes, public libraries should consider self-service borrowing machines. They could shorten queues when many visitors want to borrow books at once. However, some people may need help using the machines or finding suitable books. Libraries should keep staff available for questions. Installing a machine does not mean replacing every librarian is necessary.

    【全文和訳】セルフ貸出機は導入を検討してよい。混雑時の待ち時間短縮が期待できるが、操作や本探しで職員の支援を必要とする人もいる。機械の導入は全司書の交代を意味しない。

独自テーマ3|Should towns provide signs in several languages near stations?

【誤った答え】Multilingual signs are technically possible, so every sign must contain every language.

  1. 質問が本当に求める判断を説明する。
  2. 誤答でcanとshould・mustを取り違えている点を示す。
  3. 設問に合う英文へ修正する。
  4. 50〜60語の意見英作文を書く。

  2. 技術的に可能と、全場面に必須という結論は同一でない。
  3. Towns should consider useful multilingual signs but do not need every language on every sign.
  4. 模範英作文(51語)

Yes, towns should provide clear multilingual directions at busy stations when possible. Visitors who do not know Japanese could find exits and buses more easily. However, placing too much text on every sign may make directions hard to read. Towns should choose important languages and locations carefully, while keeping signs simple.

    【全文和訳】混雑する駅では必要に応じて多言語案内を提供すべきだ。日本語を知らない来訪者が出口やバスを見つけやすくなる。ただしすべての標識に全言語を載せると読みにくい。言語と設置場所を選び案内を簡潔に保つ。

  2. 誤答でcanとshould・mustを取り違えている点を示す。
  3. 設問に合う英文へ修正する。
  4. 50〜60語の意見英作文を書く。
全4課題の模範と54語の回答・全訳
  1. Should schools allow students to use digital dictionaries during some lessons?。賛否とその範囲を確認する。
  2. 学習時の有用性を試験時の無条件の使用許可へ広げない。
  3. Digital dictionaries may support vocabulary learning, but examination rules should be considered separately.
  4. 模範英作文(54語)

Yes, teachers should sometimes allow digital dictionaries during vocabulary activities. Students can check meanings and example sentences while learning new words. However, the rules for an examination may be different, because teachers sometimes need to assess what students know independently. Being able to use a device does not make it appropriate for every task.

    【全文和訳】語彙を学ぶ活動では電子辞書を時々使えるようにしてよい。意味と例文を確認できる。ただし試験では自力の知識を評価するため別の規則が必要な場合がある。使用可能な機器が全課題で適切とは限らない。

  2. 誤答でcanとshould・mustを取り違えている点を示す。
  3. 設問に合う英文へ修正する。
  4. 50〜60語の意見英作文を書く。

  2. can record(制作可能)とmust replace(全面置換の義務)は異なる。
  3. Audio can add a useful option, but it does not have to replace all printed captions.
  4. 模範英作文(53語)

No, museums should not replace every printed caption with audio. Recordings can offer another way to learn, especially for visitors who prefer listening while looking at exhibits. However, other visitors may want to reread details or may not use audio devices. Providing both formats would give people more choices without removing useful information.

    【全文和訳】音声だけに全面置換すべきではない。展示を見ながら聞けるのは音声の利点だが、細部を読み返したい人や音声機器を使わない人もいる。両形式を残す方が選択肢が増える。

独自テーマ6|Should every student attend an extra English lesson each evening?

  4. 50〜60語の意見英作文を書く。

  3. Targeted lessons can help students who need them, but compulsory daily lessons for everyone are not justified.
  4. 模範英作文(52語)

No, every student should not be required to attend an extra English lesson each evening. Some learners need help with particular grammar points, but others may benefit more from independent review or rest. Schools should offer targeted support when necessary. A lesson can be useful without becoming a daily requirement for everyone.

    【全文和訳】すべての生徒に毎晩追加授業を義務付けるべきではない。特定の文法で支援が必要な生徒もいれば、自習や休息が適する生徒もいる。必要な場合に絞った支援を提供すればよい。

  4. 50〜60語の意見英作文を書く。
全4課題の模範と52語の回答・全訳
  1. Should community centers offer recorded versions of public lectures?。賛否とその範囲を確認する。
  2. 記録が可能という事実は、全員が再視聴すべきという義務を導かない。
  3. Recordings may be useful with permission, but participants should not automatically be required to watch them.
  4. 模範英作文(52語)

Yes, community centers should consider recording lectures when speakers give permission. People who miss a detail could review it afterward, and some residents may be unable to attend in person. However, recording and sharing must follow appropriate permissions. Offering a recording can improve access without requiring every participant to watch it again.

    【全文和訳】講師の許可がある場合、公民館は講義の録画を検討してよい。聞き逃しの復習や対面参加が難しい住民の助けになる。ただし録画と共有には適切な許可が必要で、全参加者の視聴を義務化する必要はない。

  3. 設問に合う英文へ修正する。

  2. writing can helpとall projects must use long reportsの間に飛躍がある。
  3. Written reports can be valuable, but schools should choose formats suited to each project.
  4. 模範英作文(52語)

No, schools do not need to require the same long written report for every science project. Writing can help students explain their measurements, but some projects may also use diagrams or oral presentations effectively. Teachers should choose a format that fits the learning goal while still checking whether the evidence is accurate.

    【全文和訳】すべての理科課題に同じ長い報告書を義務付ける必要はない。文章は測定の説明に役立つが、図や口頭発表が有効な場合もある。学習目標に合う形式を選び、根拠の正確さを確認すべきだ。

完成答案の校閲

立場を明確にしたあと、根拠がその立場を支持するか確認しましょう。mustを使う場合は、本当に強い義務を主張できる理由があるかを考えます。一部の生徒に役立つことが、全員に義務付ける理由になるとは限りません。
