英検準2級プラスのEメール長文でrecommend（推奨）、expect（見込み・期待）、promise（約束）、guarantee（保証）が出てきたら、何がどの程度確定しているかを確認しましょう。慶英会独自4資料24課題では、応募・配信・交通の架空の連絡文から正確に判断します。

対象：準2級プラスReadingの内容一致で可能性・期待・承認・保証を混同する中高生。各施設の条件・金額・日程は学習用の架空情報で、英検公式過去問ではありません。実在サービスの保証条件を説明する記事ではありません。

失点を防ぐ読み方

最初にWe expect …とあっても、後にnot guaranteedがあれば確定した結果ではありません。We promise to contact youは連絡する約束であり、申込受理や参加許可の保証ではありません。対象の名詞や動詞を最後まで確認しましょう。

意味が近い文脈もありますが、promiseは誰が何を約束したか、guaranteeは何を保証するかに着目して読み分けます。
