案内1｜競技への応募
The GreenTech Robot Challenge is open to teams of two to four students aged thirteen to seventeen. Each team must register online and submit a short robot plan by October 5. The competition will take place on October 19. Robots must be built by students, although teachers may give safety advice. Teams may use recycled materials, but batteries must be kept in protective cases. Registration is free. A team that misses the plan deadline may not enter the competition, even if it registered on time.

Every robot will be checked for safety on the morning of October 19. Teams may replace a damaged wheel before the safety check, but they cannot change the motor after the check. A practice track will be open from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. Passing the safety check does not guarantee a high competition score.

Each team has two runs. In each run, a robot earns ten points for reaching the finish line and five additional points for collecting a wooden block. A robot that does not finish cannot earn the ten finish points. Only the better of a team’s two run scores counts. The table shows the points earned before safety deductions. After both runs, Maple and River were tied with fifteen points. The judges still needed to review whether any safety rules had been broken.
