英検4級some・anyは疑問文でどう使う？Would you like some・Do you have anyの独自40問【全訳】

英検4級のsome・anyは、肯定文ならsome、否定文・中立的な疑問文ならanyが基本ですが、Would you like some tea?のような申し出やCan I have some water?のような依頼では、疑問文でもsomeを使うのが自然です。慶英会独自の40問では、肯定・否定・質問・勧誘・依頼の違いを、完成英文・全訳・根拠とともに学びます。

ただし『疑問文ではanyしか使えない』『肯定文ではanyを使えない』と機械的に覚えるのは正確ではありません。someは相手に勧めたり、ある程度存在すると考えて尋ねたりするときにも使えます。anyには『どれでも』という肯定文での用法もあります。本記事の選択式では『中立的な質問』『典型的な勧め・依頼』などの場面を明示して、最も自然な形を選ぶようにしています。

Q. Would you like any tea?は文法的に絶対間違いですか？
絶対に使えないわけではありません。ただし相手にお茶を勧める典型的な表現としてはWould you like some tea?が自然です。疑問文の形だけでsomeを排除しないようにしましょう。

Q. Can I have some water?にsomeを使うのはなぜですか？
単なる有無の確認ではなく、水をもらいたいという具体的な依頼を表しているためです。

Q. I don’t have anyとI have noは同じですか？
この教材の数量ゼロを表す場面では概ね同じ意味です。I don’t have any books. とI have no books. のように書き換えられます。
