英検4級の間違い直しを自分で始める4ステップ

ステップ自分への質問すること
① 分類単語・文法・設問・音声のどれ？一つの原因を書き出す
② 根拠どの英文が答えを決める？答えと根拠を対応させる
③ 別の例文初見の文でも説明できる？主語・動詞を変えて試す
④ 翌日答えを覚えただけではない？別の未使用問題で確認する

英検4級Readingは短文・会話・語句整序・長文を含む35問です。Listeningは別の技能なので、音が聞こえなかった問題は正規の公式音源・原稿を確認します。英検協会公式の4級過去問・音源。

間違いを整理するのに必要な記録は一行でもよい

  • 問題：Did he go? を間違えた
  • 原因：Didの後を過去形wentにした
  • 理由：Didの後は原形go
  • 再確認：Did she see the movie? で同じ規則を使う

独自学習記録1｜単語の意味が分からないとき

STUDY LOG A — Nao answered a short EIKEN Grade 4 passage but did not understand the word ‘borrow’. He chose the wrong answer because he thought it meant ‘lend’. First, Nao checked the sentence in which the word appeared. Then he compared ‘I borrow a book from Yui’ with ‘Yui lends me a book’. He wrote one new sentence with each verb. The next day he read another passage about a library without looking at his old answers. He could explain who had the book and who gave it.

全文和訳・問1〜6の正解と根拠

学習記録A：ナオは英検4級の短い文章を解きましたが、borrowの意味が分からず、lendと同じ意味だと思って誤答しました。まず単語が使われた文を確認し、I borrow a book from Yui.とYui lends me a book.を比べました。その後、それぞれを使った新しい英文を書きました。翌日、前の答えを見ずに別の図書館の文章を読み、誰が本を借り、誰が貸したか説明できました。

独自学習記録2｜文法が分からないとき

STUDY LOG B — Yuto chose ‘went’ after ‘Did’ in a question. The answer key showed ‘go’, but he did not know why. He found two examples in his grammar notes: ‘He went yesterday’ and ‘Did he go yesterday?’ He circled ‘Did’ and wrote that the verb after it uses the base form. Then he tried ‘Did they see the movie?’ without looking at the notes. On Friday he checked the same rule with a different verb in an unused exercise.

During her review, she underlined ‘leave’ in the question and ‘leave at nine’ in the email. She made a table with two rows: leave — nine; arrive — ten. Then she tried a new timetable and explained the answer without help.
