位置表現の読み方 ／ 独自40問 ／ 全解答・全訳 ／ 復習
階数・隣・向かい・入口を読み違えない方法
ground floor＝地上階（地域によって1階に相当）、first floor＝1階（国によって階の呼び方が異なる場合あり）、second floor＝2階、next to＝隣に、opposite / across from＝向かいに、to the left of＝〜の左に、to the right of＝〜の右に、beside＝そばに、behind＝後ろに、という意味です。
階の呼び方には英語圏で地域差があります。この教材では各架空資料の表示をそのまま読み取ることを目的とし、ground floorは『地上階』、first floorは『1階』としてそれぞれの表記に合わせます。位置を確認するときは『AはBの左』『CはDの向かい』という2つの対象をセットで読みます。

Fictional Floor Guide：HILL SCHOOL — BUILDING GUIDE (fictional)
First floor: School Office (beside the main entrance), Nurse’s Room (next to the office), and Music Room (opposite the office).
Second floor: Room 201 (left of the stairs), Room 202 (right of the stairs), and English Room (between Room 201 and Room 203).
Third floor: Science Lab (next to Room 302) and Art Room (across from the Science Lab).
Visitors must enter at the main entrance on the first floor. The school office opens at 8:30 a.m.
The English lesson for visitors will be held in the English Room at 10:00 a.m. The art exhibition starts at 1:00 p.m.

Ground floor: Information Desk is opposite the main entrance. Children’s Books are to the left of the desk. Return Box is beside the east exit.
Second floor: English Books are next to Room 204. Study Room A is across from the stairs.
Third floor: History Books and Small Meeting Room.
The lift is near the information desk on the ground floor.
English Reading Club meets in Room 204 at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

First floor: Ticket Desk and Space Exhibition. The Space Exhibition is to the right of the main entrance.
Second floor: Robot Exhibition and Science Workshop Room. The Workshop Room is across from the Robot Exhibition.

Stairs are beside the Ticket Desk. The lift is behind the Ticket Desk.
