人物メモは3項目だけ
- 人物名または代名詞を確認する
- その人がしたことを動詞1つでメモする
- その行動の目的・理由を短く記す
例えば「Mika wanted to help the library. She collected old books.」なら、Mika＝booksを集めた／libraryを助ける、のように整理します。細部を写す必要はありません。
独自30問｜人物と行動を追う
問：Ken borrowed a camera from his brother and took pictures at the park. Who took the pictures?
答：Ken.
解説：borrowedした人物とtookした人物が同じです。
問：Yuki gave her old books to Tom. Who received the books?
答：Tom.
解説：give A to B のBが受け取る人です。
問：Mai asked Sara to help with the school event. Who asked for help?
答：Mai.
解説：askした人とhelpする人を分けます。
問：Leo forgot his umbrella, so his friend lent him one. Who had forgotten an umbrella?
答：Leo.
解説：lent him のhimはLeoですが、忘れたのもLeoです。
問：Aki found a wallet and gave it to a police officer. Who gave the wallet to the officer?
答：Aki.
解説：foundとgaveをした人物を確認します。
問：Riku wanted to join the music club, but his sister suggested the art club. Who suggested the art club?
答：His sister.
解説：suggestした人はsisterです。
人物が3人いる場合
問：Mia showed Ken a photo that Tom had taken. Who took the photo?
答：Tom.
解説：showしたのはMia、見たのはKen、撮影したのはTomです。
問：Sara asked Emi to return a book that Lisa had lent her. Who had lent the book?
答：Lisa.
解説：借りた人、返す人、貸した人を分けます。
問：Tom told Yuki that Ken would join the trip. Who would join the trip?
答：Ken.
解説：tellした人と参加する人は別です。
問：Mina gave Jo a map that her father had drawn. Who drew the map?
答：Her father.
解説：gaveしたMinaではなくdrawした父親です。
問：Leo sent Hana a message because Ken needed help. Who needed help?
答：Ken.
解説：sendしたLeo、受け取ったHana、必要だったKenを区別します。
問：Aya thanked Ryo after Mei found her bag. Who found the bag?
答：Mei.
解説：thankしたAyaではなくfoundしたMeiです。

Passage 1
Emily joined a weekend clean-up at a riverside park. Her friend Kota brought gloves, while Emily brought bags. After the clean-up, a teacher thanked them and asked Kota to take the full bags to the recycling center.

読後の1行メモ
本文を読み終えたら、人物ごとに「名前｜行動｜目的」を1行だけ残します。問題を解くときは、そのメモと本文の該当箇所を照合してください。これなら長文を何度も最初から読み直す必要が減ります。
