Origami is a way to make shapes by folding paper.
People often start with a square sheet.
I like it because I can make useful small boxes.
Would you like to try it? / What do you do in your country?

Today I want to introduce origami, a way to make shapes by folding paper. We often begin with one square sheet. A crane is a well-known design, but beginners can also make simple boxes and boats. My favorite activity is making a small box because it can hold tiny notes. When I teach someone, I show one fold at a time and ask whether they can see the next step. Different paper sizes may change the final shape. Origami can be enjoyed at home or in a classroom, and people can create their own designs after learning a few basic folds.

1:What is origami?
2:What shape of paper do people often begin with?
3:Name two designs for beginners.
4:What does the speaker like making most?
5:Why does the speaker like that design?
6:How does the speaker teach beginners?
7:Can different paper sizes change the final shape?
8:Give a polite instruction for the first fold.
9:Ask a visitor whether the next step is clear.
10:Summarize the presentation in two English sentences.

Shodo is the art of writing characters with a brush and ink. In a simple workshop, students prepare paper, ink, a brush, and a smooth place to write. The first goal is not to create a perfect work. Instead, students learn how holding the brush changes the lines. Some lines are thick, while others are thin. A teacher may demonstrate a character slowly and ask learners to try it. When the paper is wet, students should wait before touching the writing. At the end, students can explain which part of their work they like and what they want to improve next time.

11:What is shodo?
12:Name three materials needed.
13:What is the first goal of the workshop?
14:How can the lines be different?
15:What can the teacher demonstrate?
16:Why should learners wait before touching wet paper?
17:Write a polite instruction using should.
18:Ask about a learner’s favorite part of the work.
19:Explain one thing you would improve next time.
20:Summarize shodo in two English sentences.

School lunches can be different from place to place. In a fictional exchange activity, one student explains that her school serves rice on some days and bread on other days. Meals may include vegetables, soup, and a main dish. She does not claim that every school in Japan serves the same menu. The visiting students ask who prepares the meals and how food allergies are handled. The student says these questions depend on the school and should be checked with the staff. She invites visitors to describe their own school meals, so everyone can compare similarities and differences without deciding that one system is always better.

21:Does every Japanese school serve the same lunch?
22:What two staple foods are mentioned?
23:Name two other parts of a meal.
24:What did the visitors ask about allergies?
25:Who should provide school-specific information?
26:Why is it unsafe to generalize from one school?
27:Ask visitors about their own lunch.
28:Give a polite way to say you do not know the answer.
29:Write a sentence comparing meals without ranking them.
30:Summarize the main message.

I want to talk about a seasonal activity at my community center. In spring, some families enjoy looking at flowers together. They sometimes take photographs and bring small snacks. In autumn, our community center holds a craft workshop where people make decorations using colored paper. These are examples from my neighborhood, not traditions followed by every family. During an international exchange, I would first explain what people do, then invite visitors to share activities from their own communities. If someone has a different experience, I can ask questions instead of assuming that my way is the only one.

31:Which season is connected with flower viewing here?
32:What do some families do during that activity?
33:What event takes place in autumn?
34:What material is used for decorations?
35:Does the speaker say all families follow these traditions?
36:What should the speaker explain first during an exchange?
37:What should visitors be invited to share?
38:Write a polite question about a visitor’s culture.
39:How should we respond to a different experience?
40:Summarize the presentation.
