| Core/Basic/Advanced | レベルにより題材・難易度・出題条件が異なる | 学校の種類・語数を憶測しない |
| 学校の評価 | ベネッセの外部テストと学校定期考査は別 | GTECの形式だけ勉強して学校の宿題を放置しない |

Eメールの失点を減らす3つの確認
返信すべき内容を箇条書きで先に整理する
架空のメールで “Can you join the event? What activity would you like to try?” と聞かれたら、参加可否と希望活動を二つの別情報として把握します。片方だけ書いた答案は、自然な英語でも必要情報に答えていません。
日付・時刻・人数を間違えない
“The event has been moved from Friday to Monday.” なら変更後が月曜日です。メールの内容を日本語で一度説明し、時間・場所・期限が正しいことを確認してから短い英文を作ります。
書き終えたら主語と動詞を点検する
“She can speaks English.” はcanの後が原形ではないため誤りです。“She can speak English.” と直しましょう。学校の英語科が小テストで反復する基礎文法は、GTECに限らず文章を書き直す土台です。
意見展開を3文から始める
例えば “Should schools offer more reading time?” に賛成なら “I think schools should offer more reading time.” と意見を書き、“Reading helps students learn new words.” と理由、“For example, students can find useful expressions in stories.”

A student council planned a small reading event. At first, the event was scheduled for Friday afternoon, but the library was already reserved for another activity. The council moved the event to Monday. Some members wanted to invite fifty students, while others worried that the room could hold only thirty. They decided to limit the number of participants and ask students to register in advance. The council also prepared a short email explaining the new day, the meeting place, and the registration limit. They checked the message carefully because they did not want anyone to arrive on the wrong day.
全文和訳:生徒会は小さな読書イベントを企画しました。最初は金曜午後の予定でしたが、図書室が別の活動に予約済みだったため月曜日へ変更しました。50人を招きたいメンバーもいましたが、部屋は30人までという心配がありました。そこで参加人数を制限し事前登録にしました。変更日・集合場所・参加上限を案内する短いメールを作り、間違った日に来る人が出ないよう注意して確認しました。
読解2|実験の結果と推測
A science club compared how two groups of small plants grew over three weeks. Both groups received the same amount of water, but one received six hours of light a day and the other received three. The plants in the first group were taller on average. Some students wanted to say that extra light always causes faster growth. Their teacher reminded them that temperature and the number of plants might affect the results. The students wrote a careful report saying that the experiment suggested a possible relationship between light and growth. They planned to repeat the test with more plants before reaching a stronger conclusion.
全文和訳:科学部は3週間、二グループの小さな植物を比較しました。水の量は同じですが一方は一日6時間、もう一方は3時間の光を受けました。前者の平均の高さが大きくなりました。一部の生徒は光が増えると必ず速く育つと主張したがりましたが、先生は温度や株数も影響すると指摘しました。生徒は光と成長の可能な関係を示したと慎重に報告し、植物数を増やして再実験する予定です。
- What day was the reading event first planned for?
- Why was the date changed?
- What was the new day?
- How many students did some members want to invite?
- How many people could the room hold?
- What did the council require before attending?
- Why did they check the email carefully?
- What information should the email explain?
- What did the science club compare?
- How much light did the first group receive?
- Were the water amounts different?
- What conclusion did the teacher warn against?
全40課題の模範解答と一問ずつの解説
A|Eメール返信の模範解答
- 1.Thank you for inviting me to the reading club. I can join on Saturday afternoon, but I cannot come on Sunday because my family has plans. I would like to discuss a short mystery story. I enjoy mysteries because readers can try to solve problems with the characters. — 参加できる日と希望する本の2点へ回答。
- 2.Yes, I would be happy to help with the posters after school on Thursday. I am especially interested in the experiment about plant growth. I want to explain why the students used different amounts of light and what they discovered. Please tell me if the meeting time changes. — 協力の可否と興味のある展示を明示。
- 3.I would prefer visiting a museum because we can learn about the history of our city. It would also be useful to see real objects instead of only reading about them. If the museum is crowded, we could divide into smaller groups. I hope our class can visit together. — 場所の選択と理由を述べる。
- 4.I am available on Tuesday afternoon after my club activity. I can help organize books on the shelves and check that the reading area is tidy. I have helped in the library before, so I know where some books belong. Please let me know where I should meet the librarian. — 曜日と担当できる作業を答える。
- 5.I would prefer writing short stories because I enjoy creating characters and imagining different endings. Writing also helps me notice grammar mistakes when I read my sentences again. However, I think speaking practice is important too, so we could take turns sharing our stories aloud in class. — 活動の選択と理由を具体的に説明。
- 6.Thank you for telling me about the new time. I can still attend at four thirty because my lesson finishes at four. I think we should reserve a room, especially if several groups are using the building. Could you tell me which room we will use? — 変更後の時刻への回答と予約の意見。
- 7.Yes, I would like to participate because I want to keep our school clean. Volunteers should bring comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and gloves if they have them. The organizers should also explain how to separate rubbish safely. Please tell me when the activity will start. — 参加への返答と持ち物を示す。
- 8.I would like to learn how artists choose colours and materials for their pictures. I would also enjoy seeing how different artists describe the same place. Yes, I would be interested in writing a short report afterward because it would help me remember the main ideas from the visit. — 知りたい内容と報告作成の希望に答える。
B|意見展開の模範解答
- 9.I think schools should offer more chances to speak English. First, frequent conversations help students answer questions without spending too much time preparing. Second, speaking with classmates can build confidence. For example, a short discussion about school life allows students to use familiar words in a new situation. Teachers should also make students feel comfortable asking questions. — 立場・理由2点・具体例を含める。
- 10.I think both methods can be useful, but studying with friends is especially helpful when I do not understand a topic. Friends can explain an idea in different words and ask useful questions. However, I also need quiet time to remember new vocabulary. I would use group study for discussion and individual study for review. — 条件付きの立場と具体的な学習目的を説明。
- 11.I think digital textbooks are useful because students can search for information quickly and listen to recorded examples. They may also reduce the number of heavy books students carry. However, printed books can help when electronic devices are unavailable. Schools should provide both options and teach students when each one is appropriate. — 利点と制約を分ける。
- 12.Yes, science experiments help students understand ideas that may be difficult to learn from words alone. Students can observe changes, record results, and discuss possible explanations. For example, comparing two plants under different conditions encourages careful observation. Schools need safe equipment and clear instructions so that experiments remain meaningful for everyone. — 根拠と具体例を示す。
- 13.I believe reading for pleasure is important because it helps students learn new expressions and explore different ideas. Stories can also encourage students to imagine another person’s feelings. A short reading time at school may help, but students should have different books to choose from. The goal should be enjoyment as well as learning. — 意見と例・実施条件。
- 14.I think volunteering can be valuable for students because they learn about problems in their community and practise working with different people. For example, helping at a local clean-up event teaches responsibility. However, activities should be safe and suitable for students’ ages, and schools should make sure participation does not interfere with homework or rest. — 学習効果と安全上の限界。
- 15.I do not think every club needs to meet every day. Regular practice can help students improve, but students also need time for homework, family activities, and rest. A club could meet three days a week and offer an extra optional session. This would allow students to practise while keeping a reasonable balance. — 反対の立場と現実的な代案。
- 16.Yes, checking online information is important because not every statement on a website is accurate. Students should look for the original source and check when information was published. For example, an old event notice may contain a time that has already changed. Learning to verify information helps students make better decisions and avoid confusion. — 根拠の確かめ方を具体化。
