One day, a student noticed …
The student asked a staff member.
結果Finally, they changed the guide.
I think so because …

音読用独自英文(54語):Some public libraries are considering longer opening hours on selected evenings. Students who finish club activities late may find it easier to borrow books or study there. However, additional hours require staffing, security, and electricity. Library managers may test a limited schedule and collect feedback before deciding whether a permanent change would be useful.

1:A student arrives at the library after an activity, but the entrance is already closed.
2:The student speaks to a librarian about the problem and suggests trying evening hours once a week.
3:Staff start a short trial, record visitors and costs, and discuss whether the service should continue.
  1. Why might later opening hours help students?
  2. What costs should library managers consider?
  3. What could managers test before deciding?
  4. Does the passage say longer hours always work?
  5. Why is the student unable to enter in scene one?
  6. What does the student discuss with the librarian?
  7. What will staff examine after the trial?
  8. Should libraries provide evening study spaces for teenagers?
  9. Is reading in a public library useful for students?
  10. Should public services be tested before major changes?

音読用独自英文(53語):Old photographs can help museum visitors understand how local streets and buildings changed. They often encourage conversations between generations. However, some pictures lack reliable dates, and later captions can contain mistakes. Museum staff should compare images with official records and explain uncertain information rather than inventing details to make an exhibition appear complete.

1:A student finds a photograph of an old street but cannot find a reliable date.
2:A museum worker examines the catalog with the student, but the exact year remains unknown.
3:They add a note explaining the uncertainty, and visitors read the revised display.
  1. What can old photographs teach visitors?
  2. What problem may appear in captions?
  3. How should staff investigate uncertain facts?
  4. Why should a museum avoid inventing dates?
  5. What information is missing in the first scene?
  6. What does the museum worker learn after checking records?
  7. How is the exhibition improved?
  8. Should museums explain uncertainty to visitors?
  9. Can historical photographs improve learning?
  10. Should young people ask questions about evidence?

音読用独自英文(56語):Students may try to reduce electricity use by turning off unused lights and computers. Such projects can teach practical responsibility and teamwork. However, lower figures do not always prove that new habits caused the change. Weather, holidays, and classroom schedules may influence energy use. Students should compare similar periods and explain the limitations of their results.

1:Students notice lights left on in empty classrooms and put simple reminders near switches.
2:During the next week, electricity use falls, but that week includes a school holiday.
3:The students review the figures under more comparable conditions before preparing a report.
  1. What actions may reduce unnecessary electricity use?
  2. What can students learn from the project?
  3. What factors can affect energy figures?
  4. Why should similar periods be compared?
  5. What problem do students notice first?
  6. Why may the lower figure be misleading?
  7. What do students do before reporting success?
  8. Should schools teach resource-saving habits?
  9. Can signs alone solve environmental problems?
  10. Is accurate evidence important for student research?

音読用独自英文(57語):Maps and signs in public buildings help visitors find rooms and service desks. Clear information can reduce confusion and save time. However, the shortest route is not always suitable for everyone. Narrow paths and stairs may create difficulties for visitors with strollers or wheelchairs. Staff should show alternative routes and ask users whether the instructions are understandable.

1:A visitor with a stroller follows a map but reaches a narrow walkway.
2:The visitor asks staff for help, and they check another route with a wider sidewalk.
3:Staff revise the map to show both options and invite feedback from visitors.
  1. Why do public buildings provide maps?
  2. Why is the shortest route not always best?
  3. What alternatives should staff offer?
  4. How can staff evaluate the instructions?
  5. What difficulty does the visitor face?
  6. What does the visitor do after finding the narrow path?
  7. How is the map improved?
  8. Should public buildings improve accessible routes?
  9. Is saving time always the main travel goal?
  10. Can students help improve community guidance?
