The results are promising, but a larger study is needed.
The report provides no evidence for its sweeping claim.
writer’s purpose(説明したい・勧めたいなど)とtone(慎重・批判的・楽観的など)は違います。

Original Reading: The school newspaper reviewed a new program allowing students to borrow tablets for homework. The first month looked encouraging: more students said they could complete assignments at home, and teachers received fewer requests for paper copies. However, the survey had included only students who borrowed tablets, and the school had not yet measured whether grades improved. The writer described the early feedback as promising but warned that the results should not be treated as proof of long-term success. She also noted that the school needed a plan for broken devices and students without reliable internet access. Rather than rejecting the program, the article recommended continuing the trial for another term while collecting data from a wider group of students. Its conclusion stated that the tablets might improve access if practical problems were addressed. The writer emphasized both the potential benefits and the unanswered questions.
