such asは全数を示すわけではない
The club used tools such as tablets and microphones. はタブレットやマイクが例であることを示します。それ以外の道具が使われていないとは断定できません。for example / including に近い例示であることを押さえます。
as suchは資格・立場の代わりになる
She was elected chair and, as such, made the announcement. のas suchは「議長として」を繰り返さないための表現です。必ずしも「だから」という因果関係だけを表す接続詞ではありません。人物・組織の役割が何かを一文前まで戻って確認します。
not … as suchは『厳密には』
Cambridge Dictionaryはas suchに言葉の正確な意味においてという用法を示しています。We don’t have a laboratory as such. は正式な実験室と呼べるものはないという意味で、検査用の小部屋が存在しないとは限りません。
such … thatは例示ではない
It was such an interesting lecture that the students stayed longer. ではsuchが程度を強め、that以下に結果を示します。such as an interesting lecture のような例示とは文構造が異なります。

Fictional Student Reading Club. A student named Emi was elected chair of a school reading club. As such, she opened the first planning meeting and explained the rules for discussion. Members proposed activities such as reading discussions and short speeches. These were examples rather than a complete list of every future activity. Emi asked participants to describe what they could learn from each activity and to check their sources before making claims. The meeting minutes showed that she acted as chair; they did not state that she received a fee or reward for doing so.

Fictional Learning Activity Review. Twenty-four students took part in a new reading activity. The organisers collected short written reflections and attendance records. One student called it a scientific experiment, but the teacher explained, “It was not a controlled experiment as such.” There had been no comparison group, and no test-score improvement was measured. The exercise allowed students to practise summarising texts, but it did not establish that the activity caused an improvement in academic performance. The teacher suggested describing it as a classroom activity rather than claiming a scientifically verified effect.
