結論｜set up・put up・take down・put awayの違い
- set up＋物：We set up the tables.（机を設置）。代名詞はset them up。
- put up＋掲示物：We put up the posters.（ポスターを掲示）。代名詞はput them up。
- take down＋掲示物：We took down the posters.（ポスターを撤去）。代名詞はtook them down。
- put away＋道具：We put away the markers.（マーカーを片付け）。代名詞はput them away。
- 名詞と代名詞：set up the screen／set the screen upは可能、set up itは不可。set it upを選ぶ。
同じ『put』を使ってもput upとput awayでは動作が反対に近くなります。またtake downにはメモを取るなど別の用法もありますが、ここでは学校の掲示物を撤去する場面を中心に扱います。実際に展示会が開催されたかどうかは設置や掲示だけでは確定しません。

独自英文：At Oakwood Junior High, the science club prepared for a Friday exhibition. On Thursday morning, four students set up two tables and a projector in the hall. After checking the screen, the teacher told them to put up three information posters near the entrance. They put them up before lunch. One poster had an old date, so the club took it down and printed a corrected copy. The corrected poster was put up at 1:30 p.m. The visitors’ session was scheduled for Friday afternoon. On Friday, twenty students registered, but only seventeen actually attended. At the end of the session, the club took down all three posters and put away the projector, cables and markers. The teacher then checked whether the equipment had been returned to the correct storage room. The report distinguished setting up the hall, displaying information, correcting a poster and cleaning up after the event.
