結論｜care about・care for・take care of・look afterの違い
- care about＋対象：We care about the environment.（環境を大切に思う）。関心・配慮。
- care for＋人・動物：She cares for sick animals.（病気の動物を世話する）。
- not care for＋物：I don’t care for strong coffee.（濃いコーヒーは好きではない）。好みの用法。
- take care of＋対象：Take care of the plants.／I’ll take care of the booking.（世話・担当・処理）。
- look after＋対象：He looks after his brother.（弟を世話する・見守る）。
- be careful with＋物：Be careful with this glass.（扱いに気をつける）。care aboutとは別。
care for・take care of・look afterは実際に世話をする意味で重なります。一方、『環境を大切に思っている』だけでは実際に水やりに参加したとは限りません。読解の人数や活動内容は、関心のある人と担当した人を分けて整理してください。

初見Read｜自然部の水やりと参加人数（問33〜40）
独自英文：The nature club at Meadowbrook School wanted to protect a small garden. All twelve members cared about the local environment, but only four members could look after the plants during the school holiday. The teacher asked them to water the plants on Mondays and Thursdays. Mika took care of the watering schedule, while Ken looked after the tools. On the first Monday, the group noticed that one watering can was broken and asked the school office to replace it. The office promised a replacement by Wednesday. Until the new can arrived, the group used a spare one. On Thursday, three students watered the plants, but the fourth student was ill.
