中高一貫校の中1・中2で英文の表や数値を読むと、数そのものは理解できても「何問正解したのか」「何点取ったのか」「何人を分母とした割合なのか」を混同する場合があります。以下の数字と学校状況はすべて慶英会の架空のオリジナル問題であり、実際の学校の採点制度や調査結果ではありません。
正答数・配点・得点は別

正答数が多くても、高配点の英作文を落とすと得点が低くなる場合があります。本文に部分点があるかも確認し、「全問正解の題数」と「実際の得点」を混同しないでください。
答案の根拠を見つける4手順
- 数を表す名詞と単位を読み、何人・何問・何点を示すか分ける。
- 配点や回答者数など、計算の基準になる値を取り出す。
- 必ず式と根拠を残し、比率や得点を計算する。
- 本文にない部分点・未回答者の意見・実際の学校制度を勝手に補わない。

各資料を読んで4問ずつ解答します。後半の全文和訳・全解答で、数値だけでなくなぜその式になるか確かめてください。

In a fictional English test, there are ten vocabulary questions worth one point each and five translation questions worth three points each. Mio answered eight vocabulary questions and four translation questions correctly. There is no partial credit in this test.

In another fictional test, ten multiple-choice questions are worth one point each, and two writing questions are worth six points each. A teacher gives a fictional quiz with six grammar questions worth two points each and four reading questions worth three points each. Yui answers five grammar and two reading questions correctly. Every answer receives either full points or zero.

7日間の復習
1〜3日目に毎日2資料・8問ずつ、本文の人数・正答数・点数を表にして解きます。4日目は設問にない数字を推測していないか点検し、5日目には学校の実際の返却答案で得点と失点を確認します。6日目は誤答だけ、7日目に全24問を解答を見ずに再テストしてください。学校の提出・補習・追試があれば優先します。

正答数が多くても点数が低いことはありますか？
配点が異なる場合はあり得ます。正答数と得点の関係を配点表で確認してください。
過半数と最多の違いは何ですか？
過半数は全体の半分を超えること、最多は候補の中で最も多いことです。候補が3つ以上なら必ずしも一致しません。
