a friend of mineは「友人の一人」、a photo of meは「自分が写っている写真」、a photo of mineは「自分の所有物・作品である写真の一枚」です。 ofの後が目的格か所有代名詞かで意味が変わります。英検・NEW TREASUREに共通する所有格の構文を慶英会オリジナルの30問で学びます。

先に覚える3つの違い
a friend of mine：one of my friendsと同様に友人の一人。a photo of me：被写体が自分。a photo of mine：所有・制作している写真の一つ。my photoのように名詞の前に置く場合はmy、ofの後ではmineを用いる文型もあります。
