英文要約で available（利用可能）と reserved（予約済み）、occupied（使用中）を同じものとして扱うと、施設の空き状況を誤解します。予約した人が実際に来たかは別の情報です。定員（capacity）と利用実績（actual use）も区別しましょう。
対象：英検準2級プラス〜1級の英文要約を学ぶ中高一貫校生・高校生。正式な級別模試ではなく、数量・条件・状態を原文どおりに言い換える独自教材です。
教材に関する注意：以下の人・施設・調査・数字は架空の設定です。英検公式問題や出版社の文章を転載していません。
最初に守る4原則
- available は利用できる状態。実際に予約・利用されていることを意味しない。
- reserved は予約済みの状態。現に人が利用しているとは限らない。
- occupied / in use は現在利用中。定員いっぱい・満室かは数値を確認する。
- capacity は収容上限であり、実利用人数・予約数ではない。

誤要約：
The room holds forty people, so forty are using it today.
正確な要約：
The room has a capacity of forty, but the actual number of users must be checked separately.
解説：定員40人は上限であって実際の利用人数ではありません。
