対象は準2級プラスWritingの要約に取り組む中高生です。以下は慶英会が制作した独自長文・独自課題であり、公式問題や過去問の転載ではありません。
二案の要約は4つの要素を整理する

A high school wanted to reduce the amount of paper used in homework. One group suggested that teachers accept online submissions because students could send work without printing it. However, some families had limited access to devices at home. Another group proposed using more recycled paper while keeping printed assignments available. Teachers said that recycled paper could be easier for some students to use, but it would not remove all printing costs. The school decided to compare the two approaches during short trials before selecting a permanent policy. No plan has yet been chosen for the entire school.

復習｜片方だけを残す誤りを防ぐ
文章全体がA案とB案の比較に費やされているとき、A案の利点だけを要約すると対比構造が消えてしまいます。またconsiderやplan toをhave introducedなどに強めてはいけません。主張の中心と条件を保ったまま語数を調整してください。

Q. 二つの提案を必ず同じ語数で書くべきですか？
いいえ。本文の中心に合わせて配分します。2案の存在が主要な内容であれば、両方を認識できる書き方が適切です。
Q. まだ決まっていないことは書く必要がありますか？
本文の中心的な結論が「判断保留」であるなら重要な情報です。最終決定したと誤って書かないようにしてください。
