英検準2級プラスのEメール・案内文では、who may apply(誰が申し込めるか)、who may enter(誰が入れるか)、who may see results(誰が結果を見られるか)を区別しましょう。

The community center offers an English conversation workshop for students in their first two years of secondary school. Students who have already received confirmation may attend the Saturday session. Students who submitted an application but have not received confirmation should wait for a reply rather than arrive without a place. Parents may wait in the public entrance area, but the practice room is reserved for confirmed students and the teaching staff. Volunteers who are not teaching the workshop must also ask the organizer before entering. The announcement is intended to help different groups understand what they may do, not to invite everyone into the same room.

    1. All parents
    2. Students with confirmed places
    3. Everyone who submitted any form
    4. Every volunteer

    1. In the practice room
    2. Inside the teacher area
    3. In the public entrance area
    4. At a reserved student desk
  3. What must nonteaching volunteers do before entering?
    1. Ask the organizer
    2. Enter automatically
    3. Borrow a new tablet
    4. Cancel all activities

The history museum allows ordinary visitors to read printed descriptions beside exhibits. Students with advance reservations may also join a short guided tour. The research storage area, however, is not part of either service. Only trained museum staff may enter that area, and visiting teachers must ask for special permission if they need to consult original documents. The guide notes that a ticket for the public exhibition does not include access to the storage room. Visitors should use the reading tables in the main gallery unless the museum has arranged an approved research visit.

    2. Original records in storage
    3. Printed explanations by exhibits

  3. What does an ordinary exhibition ticket include?

The school science club has a small collection of sensors for student experiments. Registered club members may request to use a sensor, but a teacher must approve the experiment before equipment is released. Students are allowed to perform measurements with approved sensors under supervision; they are not permitted to enter the locked storage room. Only the equipment manager can collect the devices from storage. After the lesson, students return sensors to the manager at the classroom desk. The notice is meant to distinguish people who can request or use equipment from the person responsible for collecting and storing it.

    1. Any museum visitor
    2. Registered science-club members
    3. All parents

Permission to use a sensor means permission to enter the storage room.
After the lesson, students return sensors to the manager at the classroom desk.

A school is collecting anonymous feedback about its English study materials. All students in two selected classes may answer the voluntary questionnaire. Teachers in those classes may remind students of the deadline, but they cannot require an answer. A small research team will review the anonymous responses and prepare a summary. Parents and other students may read the public summary after it is released, but they will not receive individual response files. The announcement also says that sending a questionnaire does not guarantee that its suggestions will be adopted. The team must check the results before proposing any policy changes.

    2. All museum visitors
    3. Students in two selected classes

    3. A confidential school record
    4. All student identities

Because the survey is anonymous, everyone can download each original response file.
Sending a questionnaire does not guarantee that its suggestions will be adopted.

only / may / must / under supervisionが誰にかかっているかを線で結びましょう。

FAQ

Q. registered
