英検準2級プラスの長文に出てくるthatは、いつも同じ意味ではありません。said that … は「〜ということ」、the chart that … は「〜する図表」、That chart は「その図表」、so that … は「〜するために」です。慶英会の独自4長文・24課題を通じて、文の構造と内容を確認します。

対象：準2級プラスの長文を単語ごとには訳せても一文全体の意味が分からない中高生。本記事はオリジナル英文による学習用教材であり、公式過去問ではありません。

thatの4つの役割

特にthatの後に完全な文が続くか、名詞を説明しているか、soと一体で目的を表すかを確認します。

全24課題の進め方

独自長文1｜学校菜園の水使用記録

Teachers noticed that the school garden used more water during dry weeks. A group of students created a chart that compared rainfall and water use.
