She believed that only high school students could attend because the photograph on the advertisement showed older teenagers. Before paying, she checked the detailed program page. It said that the workshop was open to students aged twelve and older, including middle school students. Yuki was thirteen, so she met the age requirement. She registered online, but the center explained that registration was not the same as a confirmed place. She was told to wait for a confirmation email. Yuki realized that her original belief about the age rule had been wrong, but she still needed to wait before assuming she could attend.

His first idea was incorrect: the book had not been borrowed by someone else. However, he was still unable to take it home that day.

After a practice test, several students saw the number 82 on a notice and thought it was the average English score for their whole class. Their teacher explained that 82 was the highest score, not the class average. The average had not yet been calculated because some students had taken a different version of the test and their results still needed to be checked. The teacher asked the students not to compare themselves with an imaginary average. The notice was corrected so that the number was labeled clearly. The students learned that a displayed number can be accurate but still be misunderstood when its meaning is not shown.

A family used a map application while visiting a large town park. The screen showed a red symbol beside the eastern walking path, so the family assumed that the entire park had been closed. Before leaving, they asked a park worker. The worker explained that only one small bridge on the eastern path was closed for repairs. The western trail, playground, and visitor center remained open. The application had used the red symbol to mark the bridge, not the whole park. The family decided to use the western trail instead. They learned that a small symbol can be misleading unless its exact location is checked.

Sora received an email saying that her article had been accepted for review by the student newspaper. She excitedly told her friends that the article would be published next week. Her editor explained that acceptance for review meant the team would examine the article, not that publication had been approved. The editor wanted Sora to correct two unclear sentences and provide the source of one quotation. Sora made the changes and sent a revised version. The newspaper team promised to decide by Friday, but it had not yet announced a final result. Sora realized that she had confused the start of the review process with final publication approval.

英文台本・全文和訳・4問の正答根拠

At a school history exhibition, a student named Mei saw several old photographs on a table. She believed that because the photographs were displayed publicly, she could copy them into her online project. The teacher explained that public display did not automatically grant permission to republish an image. The student could describe what she observed, but she needed to check the rules and ask for permission before using the photographs. Mei decided to create an original drawing instead. Her earlier assumption had mixed up the ability to view an image with the right to reuse it.
