英文B|10代のための予算内の料理講座(Q26〜29)

A small town introduced a program to help teenagers learn how to cook affordable meals. Instead of giving long lectures, instructors divided students into groups and asked them to prepare a simple dish with vegetables, eggs, and rice. Each group received a list of ingredients and their prices. One group chose to buy individual portions of vegetables, while another bought a larger package and shared it. The second group spent less money for the same number of meals. However, the instructor pointed out that buying large packages could lead to waste if the food was not used before it spoiled. At the end of the first month, 48 teenagers had attended at least one class. The center had recorded 76 attendances because some students returned for several classes. Thirty students completed a short questionnaire; 22 said they felt more confident about preparing meals, six were unsure, and two said they did not. The instructors had not checked whether the students actually cooked more often at home. They therefore described the survey as the participants’ opinions, not proof of long-term behavior change. For the next month, students will plan meals for a family of four using a fixed budget. They will also learn how to store leftovers safely and avoid buying more food than necessary.

Q26. Why might buying a large package of vegetables be a poor choice?

  1. Large packages are always more expensive
  2. They contain no vegetables
  3. Unused food may spoil and be wasted
  4. They cannot be shared

Q27. How many teenagers attended at least one class in the first month?

  1. 30
  2. 48
  3. 76
  4. 22

Q28. What did 22 of the 30 surveyed students report?

  1. They cooked every meal at home
  2. They had never prepared food
  3. They stopped eating vegetables
  4. They felt more confident about preparing meals

Q29. What will students do in the following month?

  1. Plan meals for a family of four with a fixed budget
  2. Stop learning about food storage
  3. Open a new restaurant
  4. Buy as much food as possible
