Part D|

A fictional town library introduced an online reservation system for study rooms. Staff hoped it would reduce queues, but a review found that several accounts used passwords shared by multiple employees. The security officer warned that this practice could compromise the confidentiality of users’ personal information. A local newspaper reported the issue and some residents began to lose confidence in the library. The director said that exaggerated headlines could further undermine public trust, especially if they suggested that every account had already been accessed by outsiders. No such evidence had been established. Nevertheless, leaving the problem unresolved could jeopardize the long-term future of the service. The library changed its password procedures, introduced staff training and checked its records for unauthorized access. Officials explained that reducing a security risk did not guarantee that all risks had disappeared. The team continued monitoring the system and provided a telephone booking option for people who preferred it.

問29.What could compromise confidentiality?

問30.What might undermine public trust further?

問31.What could jeopardize the service’s future?

問32.Was unauthorized access to every account established?

問33.What did the library change?

問34.Did officials claim all risks had disappeared?

A fictional district reviewed its emergency shelter after a storm damaged a nearby road. The damage threatened access for residents who depended on public transport. Volunteers proposed a temporary shuttle, but officials worried that an unreliable schedule could jeopardize the evacuation plan if people missed essential connections. The shelter also contained an old ventilation system. Engineers explained that poor ventilation could impair air quality during crowded periods. A committee warned that rushing to open every room before safety checks were complete might compromise safety standards. At the same time, inaccurate rumors about structural damage were beginning to undermine residents’ confidence in the shelter. The district published a clear list of confirmed problems and unresolved risks. It repaired part of the ventilation system, tested the shuttle and limited access to rooms that had passed inspection. Officials emphasized that acknowledging a threat did not prove that a disaster would occur. They planned further checks before expanding the shelter’s capacity.

問35.What threatened access to the shelter?

問36.How might an unreliable shuttle jeopardize the plan?

問37.What could impair air quality?

問38.What might compromise safety standards?

問39.What undermined residents’ confidence?

問40.Did acknowledging the threat prove a disaster would occur?

Part D|

問29 解答:Passwords shared by multiple employees.。

問30 解答:Exaggerated headlines claiming every account was accessed.。

Failing to address the security problem.。

No, there was no such evidence.。

問33 解答:Password procedures and staff training.。

問34 解答:No, they continued monitoring.。

Damage to a nearby road.。

問36 解答:Residents could miss important connections.。

The shelter’s old ventilation system.。

Opening rooms before safety checks were complete.。

問39 解答:Inaccurate rumors about structural damage.。

No, the district said a threat is not a guaranteed outcome.。
