Part D|

A fictional secondary school started a reading program for students who rarely used the library. Teachers wanted to foster a supportive environment by creating small discussion groups. The librarian encouraged students to choose books they enjoyed and cultivate a daily reading habit. Older volunteers received guidance on how to nurture younger students’ confidence without correcting every mistake immediately. Posters encouraged parents to attend monthly reading events, while a town campaign promoted awareness of the books available. After three months, registration for the program had increased. However, the principal warned that registration numbers did not prove that every student’s reading ability had improved. Several students had attended only once, and others preferred printed materials to digital ones. The school planned to measure actual reading progress and ask students which kinds of support they found helpful. Officials explained that goals, activities and demonstrated outcomes needed to be reported separately.

問29.What environment did the teachers hope to foster?

問30.What habit were students encouraged to cultivate?

問31.What did volunteers seek to nurture?

問32.What did the posters encourage parents to do?

問33.What did the town campaign promote?

問34.Did increasing registration prove every student improved?

A fictional town organized a weekend science program for teenagers. The organizers hoped to foster cooperation between schools rather than competition. Participants were encouraged to ask questions about local environmental observations. Each group was asked to cultivate careful record-keeping habits and compare results from several days. University volunteers helped nurture students’ emerging interest in research by discussing how to evaluate explanations fairly. The town promoted the event through community centers and the library. One advertisement claimed that the program would certainly improve examination scores. The coordinator corrected the statement because no examination results had been measured. During the first workshop, students demonstrated an observation method and identified differences between their data tables. Staff welcomed this engagement but did not say that every participant had become a skilled researcher. The town planned a follow-up activity to check whether students continued to practice their new skills.

問35.What did organizers hope to foster?

問36.What were participants encouraged to do?

問37.What habits were groups asked to cultivate?

問38.What interest did volunteers nurture?

問39.How did the town promote the activity?

問40.Why was the guarantee of higher examination scores misleading?

Part D|2

A supportive environment for discussion.。

問33 解答:Awareness of available books.。

No, reading skills had not been established for everyone.。

問35 解答:Cooperation between schools.。

問36 解答:Ask questions about observations.。
