結論｜Time limitとClosing timeは別の時計
Time limitは1回の解答に使える制限時間、Closing timeはテスト全体を受けられる終了時刻です。Time remainingは現在の残り時間、Autosavedは自動保存、Auto-submittedは自動提出、Submission receivedは提出受領、Grading pendingは採点待ちです。保存しただけでは提出とは限らず、提出されたことも正解や採点完了を意味しません。
読解の順序｜いつ開始して、何が保存され、何が提出されたか
1．受験可能な開始時刻・終了時刻を探す。2．1回の制限時間とタイマー開始条件を確認する。3．途中保存・通信切断・音声一時停止などがタイマーに影響するか読む。4．Submitted・Auto-submitted・Pendingを区別する。5．学校の正式な提出完了メッセージを確認する。画面にない延長や再試行の権利を勝手に推定しないことが重要です。

All attempts must end by 6:00 p.m., even if the 20-minute timer has not finished. A student who starts at 5:30 p.m. can use the full twenty minutes and should finish by 5:50 p.m. A student who starts at 5:45 p.m. has only fifteen minutes before the quiz closes at 6:00 p.m. The system does not grant another five minutes after closing. The ‘Open quiz’ button displays instructions but does not start the attempt timer. Once the attempt begins, the timer cannot be paused in this fictional system. The learner is advised to check the closing time before starting.

慶英会オリジナル英文：FICTIONAL READING AND LISTENING CHECK — Attempt started at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 10:25 a.m. The screen at 10:07 a.m. reads ‘Time remaining: 18 minutes’. A small line reads ‘Last autosaved: 10:06 a.m.’ The timer continues to run when the student scrolls between questions or pauses the audio clip. ‘Pause audio’ only pauses the clip; it does not pause the overall test. The student changes Answer 4 at 10:12 a.m. The next autosave message, displayed at 10:13 a.m., confirms that the revised answer has been stored in the practice system. However, ‘Autosaved’ does not itself mean ‘Submitted’. At 10:20 a.m., the student presses ‘Submit attempt’ and sees ‘Submission received’. The student has five minutes left on the timer but cannot edit the submitted attempt again. The rules are specific to this imaginary test.

At 3:14 p.m., the status panel shows ‘Answered: 17’, ‘Unanswered: 3’, and ‘Time remaining: 1 minute’. The student does not answer the remaining three questions. At 3:15 p.m., the timer reaches zero and the system automatically submits the attempt. A receipt reads ‘Auto-submitted at 3:15 p.m. — grading pending.’ The 17 answered items have been sent for grading, but being answered does not mean being correct. The unanswered items remain blank in the submitted record. The score will be visible only after grading. The student cannot reopen the submitted attempt to fill those three blanks. A new attempt, if allowed, would follow separate instructions; the screen does not promise a second attempt.

A saved copy of the draft remains on the student’s device. At 6:49 p.m., the connection returns. The student tries again at 6:50 p.m., and the portal displays ‘Submission received at 6:50 p.m.’ The student then sees an optional ‘Request extension’ link but does not need it for this already received submission. The notice says extension requests are reviewed individually; sending a request does not automatically change the deadline. If a submission error continues, students should use the school’s approved contact method and describe the status message without sharing account passwords. A successful upload and an approved deadline extension are different events. The teacher’s feedback is scheduled for the following week; no score has been given yet.

定期テスト・英検の学習に生かす見直し方法
数字や時刻は問題文の順に並べ直して読むと混乱を減らせます。解答前に必ず「何分使えるか」「何時に閉じるか」「保存されたか」「提出受領が確認されたか」の4点を記録します。問題1〜10は制限時間と締切の比較、11〜20は保存と提出、21〜30は自動提出と採点、31〜40は通信エラーと延長申請がテーマです。最初の解答だけで終わらず、翌日もう一度理由を説明できるか確かめましょう。
よくある質問
制限時間20分なら締切5分前に始めても20分使えますか？
この架空テストでは使えません。全体のClosing timeが優先されます。実際のテストでは学校の指示やシステム画面を確認してください。
AutosavedとSubmittedは同じ意味ですか？
違います。Autosavedは途中の変更が保存された状態を表し、提出したかどうかは別に確認する必要があります。
Pause audioを押すと試験全体のタイマーも止まりますか？
この教材では止まりません。音声だけの一時停止と試験タイマーは別の仕組みです。
Auto-submittedは採点済みという意味ですか？
いいえ。時間切れで自動提出されても、採点待ちの場合があります。
通信障害でSubmitに失敗した場合はどうすればよいですか？
学校の正式な案内に従い、提出状態を確認します。エラーが継続する場合は指定された連絡方法で先生に相談してください。延長が自動的に承認されたとは判断しません。
