英検4級のgood→better→best、bad→worse→worstは、『以前より良い／悪い』と『全体で最良／最悪』を区別する不規則な比較級・最上級です。better thanはより良い、worse thanはより悪い、the bestは最も良い、the worstは最も悪いという意味です。慶英会独自40問を短文・会話・長文から練習できます。

good・better・best／bad・worse・worstの違い
good（良い）→better（より良い）→best（最も良い）。bad（悪い）→worse（より悪い）→worst（最も悪い）。比較級はthanと組み合わせることが多く、最上級はthe best・the worstの形で集団の中の最良・最悪を表します。
点数が上がったから必ず良い、数字が増えたから必ず悪いとは限りません。得点・間違い・遅延時間のどれを比べているかを本文で確かめましょう。

英語テストの点数
Four students took an English test in April and another in May. Hana scored 70 in April and 90 in May, so her score got better. Ken scored 85 in April and 60 in May, so his result got worse. In May, Yui scored 95, the highest of all four students, and Tom scored 40, the lowest. Their teacher told them to learn from their mistakes.
