英検3級無料模試【第149セット】Reading30問＋Writing2題

英検3級のReadingでは、予定変更だけでなく、数字が何を表しているのかを正しく判断する力が必要です。慶英会第149セットでは、市民博物館の音声ガイド制作、海外校との文化祭交流、資源回収データを題材にしたオリジナル32課題を用意しました。長文全文和訳、全30問の正答と根拠英文、Writing2題の模範解答を公開します。

英検3級の出題形式と解き方

日本英語検定協会の3級試験内容では、Readingは短文15問・会話5問・長文10問、WritingはEメールと意見英作文が各1題で、Reading＋Writingは65分です。Eメール15〜25語・意見英作文25〜35語が目安。本記事は慶英会独自制作で、英検協会の過去問ではありません。

最初に全30問を解いてから英文根拠を確認してください。英作文は2質問への回答と異なる2理由があるか、語数とともに確認します。

説明文｜資源回収の袋数を正しく比較する（問26〜30）

A school science club wanted to understand how much recyclable waste it had collected during a special week.

On Monday, the students collected twelve bags of paper and eight bags of plastic. On Tuesday, they collected fourteen bags of paper and six bags of plastic.

One student said the club collected more waste on Tuesday. However, the number of bags was the same on both days: twenty.

The teacher explained that different bags could hold different amounts. The students had not weighed them, so they could not tell which day’s waste was heavier.

The club decided to weigh each bag and keep separate records for paper and plastic next time. They also agreed to check that the scales were working correctly.

The students learned that the number of bags, the weight of the waste, and the type of material are different measurements. Good records must state exactly what was counted or measured.
