結論｜交通手段と時間は別々に答える
How did you get there?にはI went by bus.、How long did it take?にはIt took twenty minutes.と答えます。How longは頻度や出発時刻を聞く質問ではありません。
英検3級の公式試験内容にはEメール返信1題があります。受信メールの2質問に対応し、返信本文は15〜25語が目安です。以下は慶英会独自の創作問題であり、公式過去問の転載ではありません。

異なります。How longは時間の長さ、What timeは午前9時などの時刻を尋ねます。
徒歩の場合にby walkと書けますか？
通常はI walked there.またはI went there on foot.が自然です。

過去に行った移動はIt took …、現在の習慣としての所要時間はIt takes …で答えます。
