I’m sorry. / I’m sorry to hear that. / You’re welcome. / Never mind. / Congratulations! / I hope you feel better soon. I’m sorry I broke your pen. I’m sorry to hear that your sister is sick.

I’m sorry

I’m sorry I broke your pencil.=

I’m sorry I broke your pencil. I’m sorry I’m late. Sorry for making you wait. That’s all right.、Don’t worry about it.、That’s okay.

Don’t worry about it.

I’m sorry to hear that.=相手の残念な出来事への共感

My grandmother is in the hospital. への I’m sorry to hear that. My bicycle was stolen. なら That’s terrible.

That’s too bad. や That’s wonderful!

Thank you・You’re welcome・Thanks anywayを使い分ける

Thank you for helping me. You’re welcome.、No problem.、I’m glad it helped. Thank you for lending me your book.

I’m afraid I can’t help you now. Never mind.

Could you do me a favor?

Could you do me a favor? Sure. What do you need? Can you help me carry this? には Of course.

Congratulations・Good luck・I hope you feel betterの違い

  • Well done!:
  • Good luck!:
  • I hope you feel better soon.:
  • That’s too bad.:
  • I’m glad it helped.:
  • Don’t worry about it.:謝罪した相手を安心させる

Good luck with your speech tomorrow! Well done on your speech!

I’m sorry to hear about your dog. に Thank you for your kindness.

例えば『I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you.』 I’ll say it again. 『Congratulations!』

Could you say that again, please?
