英検2級面接No.2の3コマ時制対策｜過去形・was doing・planned toを直す独自30問＋4模範

英検2級面接No.2の3コマ説明では、各コマの内容を列挙するだけでなく、出来事の時間関係を正しい時制でつなぐことが重要です。「最初は〜していた」「その後〜した」「翌日〜することになった」のように、過去・過去進行・未来の表現を場面に合わせて使い分けます。

結論｜3コマは「コマ1＝背景、コマ2＝変化、コマ3＝結果」で考える

各コマについて「誰が・何をした・なぜ変わった」を簡単に整理します。コマ2で問題が起きたならbecause / so / thereforeなどで因果をつなぎ、コマ3で結果や予定が示されるなら適切な時制を使います。

独自30問｜時制とつなぎを修正する

1. Yesterday, a student goes to the library. → went
2. He is reading when the teacher entered. → was reading
3. The next day, he will return the book in the story’s future plan. → 文脈に応じて未来表現。
4. At first, she plans to visit a museum. → 過去の物語ならplanned
5. Later, the museum was closed. → 状態。
6. So she decided to visit another place. → 結果。
7. First A, then B. → 順序。
8. A happened, because B? → 因果を正しく確認。
9. A happened, so B. → Aが原因、Bが結果。
10. A was closed, so she chose B. → 因果。
11. At first / later / finallyで時系列を作る。
12. “the next day”は前日からの時間移動。
13. “after that”は直前の出来事の後。
14. “while”は同時進行を示す場合がある。
15. “because”は理由。
16. “therefore”は結果・結論。
17. “decided to”は決定。
18. “planned to”は予定・計画。
19. “was going to”は意図・予定で、実行済みとは限らない。
20. “finally”は最終段階。
21. コマ1を現在形で始め、コマ2だけ過去形にしない。
22. 3コマ全体が過去の物語なら基本時制をそろえる。
23. 未来の吹き出しがある場合は未来表現を検討。
24. 理由がある場合becauseを一文に入れる。
25. 結果がある場合so / thereforeでつなぐ。
26. コマ2の問題とコマ3の解決を同じ意味で繰り返さない。
27. 人物の行動を1文ずつ簡潔にする。
28. 固有名詞より行動と変化を優先する。
29. 最後のコマでは最終状態を必ず述べる。
30. 最終確認 → コマ1→2→3の順番と時制が一致しているか。

Model 1

At first, a student planned to study in the library. However, the library was crowded, so he decided to study at home. The next day, he returned to the library and found a quiet seat.

Model 2

A woman was preparing for a community event. Then she noticed that some materials were missing. She called the store, and the next morning, the materials arrived.

Model 3

A family planned to have a picnic in the park. However, it started raining, so they decided to have lunch at home instead. The next day, the weather was sunny, and they went to the park.

Model 4

A student wanted to join a club. First, he talked to his teacher. Later, he attended a practice session. After that, he decided to join the club the following week.
