英検1級英作文の語彙を安全に増やす｜難単語より自然な言い換えを使う独自30問

英検1級の英作文では、難しい単語を無理に使うより、自分が正確に使える語彙で論理を明確にすることが重要です。本記事では、簡単な表現を自然な上級表現へ言い換える練習を、独自30問で行います。

難単語より「正確な言い換え」

英検1級は、社会性の高い幅広い話題について、読む・聞く・話す・書く力を測る試験です。特にライティングでは、主張や根拠の展開を明確にしながら論理的に伝えることが求められます。語彙の難度だけを上げて、意味や語法を誤るのは逆効果です。

安全な言い換えの4パターン

• cause → lead to / result in
• help → contribute to / facilitate
• make something better → improve / enhance
• make a problem worse → exacerbate

使わないほうがよい「背伸び表現」

辞書で見つけた難語を、目的語や前置詞を確認せずに置き換えるのは避けてください。たとえば「facilitate」は「助ける」と完全に同じではなく、「何かを容易にする・促進する」という意味で使います。言い換え後に「主語・動詞・目的語の関係が自然か」を確認しましょう。

英作文での使い方

一文の中に難単語を何個も詰め込む必要はありません。主張は明快に、理由は具体的に、結論は簡潔に書きます。その中で1～2個の正確な上級表現を使うほうが、語法を崩さず文章全体の質を高められます。
