学校公式｜SA・GCと世界標準読活の違い
札幌日本大学中学校公式・SAコースでは、基礎・豊富な演習に加え、多くの英語書籍・電子書籍に触れる世界標準読活、スタディサプリなどの学習支援を紹介しています。公式・GCコースでは、同じく多読・多聴・音読に取り組みながら、国際協働・探究・英語を用いた発信につなげると説明しています。公式のコース特徴を確認できても、個々の生徒の英語の到達度や学校内の検定受験級はそれだけでは分かりません。
日本英語検定協会の英検3級公式出題内容によれば、リスニングは第1部・応答10問、第2部・会話10問、第3部・短い文章10問。第1部は1回放送、第2・第3部は2回放送です。本稿は3領域30問の独自自習問題で、英検協会の公式問題と難易度・音源・画像・採点が一致するものではありません。
多読・多聴をしてもListeningで失点する理由
- 本を読めるが質問を即答できない：Why、How often、Could youなどの質問意図を、文章の意味を考え過ぎる前に捉える
- 最初の時刻を選んでしまう：used to→now、Tuesday→Wednesday、Room A→Room Cのような訂正を最後まで聞く
- 数字・人物・行動の結び付きが弱い：本の冊数、集合時刻、各班の研究内容など、聞き取った数字と質問対象を対応させる
学習は文章を見ずに英語を聞き、3択または4択から選び、根拠となる箇所を声に出して確認します。SAコースの演習中心の学びでも、GCコースの国際協働を使った学びでも、初見の英文を最後まで聞く訓練は有用です。日々の学校課題を優先し、苦手領域だけ10〜15分追加すると無理を抑えられます。

保護者・指導者がAの質問を読み、学習者が応答文を選びます。公式の音声では選択肢も読み上げられますが、自宅では文字付きの選択肢を先に提示して練習できます。

14日間の復習｜SA・GCそれぞれの授業と両立する
1〜3日目は応答10問を一日数問ずつ聞き、質問が許可・依頼・頻度・理由のどれかを分類します。4〜6日目は会話10問で最初の予定と変更後の情報を整理します。7〜9日目は説明文10問で「いつ、誰が、何を」を簡単な表にまとめます。10〜11日目は誤答を解き直し、根拠を英語で読み直します。12日目は学校の多読・多聴教材に戻り、知らない単語を既習の短文で復習します。13日目は英検協会の公式音声で本番形式の放送回数・速度に慣れ、14日目には学校と検定の誤答パターンを比較してください。
読書量を増やしても聞き取れないときは、短い英文の音声と文字を照合し「意味は分かるが音が取れない」のか「音は取れたが設問を読み違えた」のかを分けます。読み直せば理解できる問題だけを何度も読むより、音声で情報を選ぶ演習に時間を振り向けてください。

Q．札幌日本大学中学校のSAとGCで同じ英語テストですか。 A．学校公式は両コースの学習特性を示していますが、各学年のテスト範囲や受験する英検級が一致するとは断定できません。学校配布の資料を優先してください。
