5つの伝達動詞の意味・目的語・前置詞

日本語訳だけでは判定できない文型の違い
「彼に計画を伝えた」にはI informed him of the plan. やI told him about the plan. が使えます。「彼に計画を説明した」ならI explained the plan to him. の順序に注意します。正式発表ではThe school announced the plan to parents. などと書けます。
explain me the plan や announce me the result は標準的な英作文では不自然です。説明する内容や発表する内容を先に置き、その後にto + 人を続けます。一方、tellはtell A Bという二重目的語も取れます。

読解応用｜学校の行事変更を伝える英文
The committee announced that the school festival would take place one week later than planned. It notified volunteers of the new date by email and informed parents that the revised schedule was available online. The teachers explained the reason for the change to each class. Finally, the club leaders told their members to check the updated room assignments.
和訳：委員会は文化祭が当初の予定より1週間遅れて開催されると発表した。ボランティアには新しい日付をメールで通知し、保護者には変更後の日程がオンラインで確認できると知らせた。先生方は各クラスに変更理由を説明した。最後に部長たちは部員に更新された部屋割りを確認するよう伝えた。
ここではannounceは全体発表、notifyは対象者への公式通知、informは必要な事実の伝達、explainは理由の解説、tellは具体的な指示です。「誰に何を伝えたか」が異なるため、読解問題では動詞の目的語まで確認します。
復習手順とFAQ
初日は1〜20の動詞の活用と文型を確認します。翌日に21〜30を全文書き直し、3日後に31〜40を時間制限付きで英訳します。誤答を『人の目的語を省略』『ofとtoを混同』『説明する内容と人の順序を逆転』の3類型に分類して再テストすると、同じ失点を減らしやすくなります。
Q. informとnotifyは同じですか？ 情報を伝える点では重なりますが、notifyは公式通知を強調する傾向があります。
Q. explainの後に人を直接置けますか？ 目的語が説明内容のときはexplain the plan to meのようにします。explain me the planは標準的な学校文法で避けます。
Q. announceとtellの語順は違いますか？ はい。announce the news to usに対しtell us the newsのような形を用います。
