対象は中高一貫校などの中学1〜3年生。施設名・持ち物・受付条件はすべて架空の練習用設定です。公的な落とし物手続きを説明する記事ではありません。英検協会の過去問の転載ではありません。公式3級Readingは4肢選択ですが、ここでは本文根拠を自分で説明する英問英答を用います。
忘れ物の説明文は4項目で読む
①何がなくなったか（種類・色・特徴）、②いつ・どこで発見されたか、③持ち主確認の条件、④受取済みか予定だけかを分けます。found、reported、collected、planned toなどの違いにも注目してください。
独自長文1｜市立図書館の青い筆箱
English passage：On Monday afternoon, a blue pencil case was found under a chair in the city library’s reading room. It had two black pens, a green eraser, and a small ruler inside. The library worker kept it at the front desk. A student called on Tuesday and said that she had lost a blue pencil case, but she could not remember what was inside. 誤答が多い3つのケース
科学館のノートは少女が水曜日に受け取りに行く予定ですが、実際に受け取ったとは書いてありません。駅で黄色い傘の持ち主が電話した時点でも、職員は確約していません。スポーツセンターでは日曜日に事務室が閉まっているため、訪問しても受け取れません。事実と予定を区別しましょう。
