First, it is convenient. Second, it saves time. は似た理由になりやすい一方、education(教育上の効果)と fairness(公平性)、cost(費用)と safety(安全性)のように比較軸を分けると論理が明確になります。

1|Yes

TOPIC:Do you think local museums should offer free admission to all students?

I think local museums should let students enter for free. First, museum visits can help young people learn topics that are difficult to understand only from textbooks. For example, seeing real scientific equipment can make classroom lessons more interesting. Second, free admission would allow students from families with limited budgets to enjoy the same learning opportunities. Although museums need money for maintenance, local governments and supporters could help cover some costs. Therefore, I believe free student admission is a valuable investment in education.

  1. What is the writer’s answer to the topic?
  2. What is the first reason?
  3. What example supports it?
  4. What is the second reason?
  5. Does the writer ignore maintenance costs?
  6. What could cover some of the costs?

  1. Yes。冒頭I think … for freeと末尾Thereforeが一致。
  2. Learning from real exhibits。
  3. Seeing real scientific equipment。For example
  4. Equal opportunities for students with limited budgets。
  5. No。
  6. Local governments and supporters。

模範2|No

TOPIC:Do you think local museums should offer free admission to all students?

I do not think all museums should offer free admission to every student. First, museums must pay for staff, repairs, and the safe storage of valuable objects. If ticket revenue falls sharply, they may have to reduce exhibitions or educational programs. Second, not every family needs financial support. A better approach would be to provide free tickets to students who cannot afford them, while asking others to pay a small fee. In this way, museums could support equal opportunities without losing an important source of income.

  1. Is the writer for universal free admission?
  2. What is the first reason?
  3. What might happen if revenue falls?
  4. What is the second reason?
  5. What alternative policy is proposed?
  6. Does the essay contradict its No position by mentioning free tickets?

  1. No。do not think all … every student
  2. Museums need income for staff, repairs and safe storage。
  3. Exhibitions or programs may be reduced。may have to reduce
  4. Support needs differ between families。
  5. Free tickets for those who cannot afford them and small fees for others。
  6. No。

3|Yes, when repair is safe

TOPIC:Should schools spend more money on repairing old equipment than buying new equipment?

I believe schools should repair useful equipment before buying replacements whenever it is safe to do so. First, many desks, computers, and sports items can serve students for several more years after a small repair. This could reduce unnecessary spending. Second, repairing products reduces waste and shows students that materials should be used carefully. Of course, equipment that fails safety checks must be replaced immediately. However, schools should not throw away items simply because they look old. A repair-first policy can save resources while protecting students.

  1. What condition limits the Yes position?
  2. What is the cost-related reason?
  3. What is the environmental reason?
  4. Does the writer suggest repairing unsafe equipment?
  5. What does repair-first mean here?
  6. What lesson may students learn?

  1. Repair must be safe。whenever it is safe to do so。
  2. Repairs can extend useful life and reduce spending。
  3. Repairs reduce waste。
  4. No。fails safety checks must be replaced immediately。
  5. Assess repair before replacing when safe。
  6. Materials should be used carefully。

4|No, not always

TOPIC:Should schools spend more money on repairing old equipment than buying new equipment?

I think schools should sometimes prioritize new equipment over repeated repairs. First, fixing an old device again and again can cost more than buying a reliable replacement. Students may also lose valuable class time when equipment suddenly stops working. Second, newer tools can provide features that older ones do not have, such as improved accessibility or lower energy use. Schools should compare the full costs and safety of each choice instead of deciding by age alone. For these reasons, new purchases can be the better long-term decision.

  1. What is the writer’s position?
  2. What is the first financial concern?
  3. How can repeated breakdowns affect students?
  4. What is the second reason?
  5. Does the writer say every old item must be replaced?
  6. What two criteria should schools compare?

  2. Repeated repairs can cost more than replacement。
  3. They may lose class time。
  4. New equipment may offer improved features。
  5. No。sometimes と compare each choice が制約。
  6. Full costs and safety。
