英作文で『〜すぎてできない』と書くなら too + 形容詞 + to do、『〜するのに十分』なら 形容詞 + enough + to doが基本です。so + 形容詞 + that節では結果を具体的な節で述べます。程度を述べる表現で、事実以上に『絶対にできない』と断定しないことも重要です。
対象：英検3級〜1級のWritingを練習する中学生・高校生。この記事では級別模試の形式・語数を再現せず、全級に使える英文の精度と論理の改善に絞ります。
出題・英文：すべて慶英会オリジナル。学校・町・登場人物・調査・数値は学習用の架空設定であり、英検過去問の転載や実在の調査結果ではありません。
最初に押さえる4つの修正原則
- too … to は過度で目的の動作をできないことを表す。
- enough は形容詞の後、副詞の後、または名詞の前に置ける。
- so … that 以下は主語・動詞を備える結果の節。
- impossible の断定ではなく、条件が整えば可能になる例外も確認する。
典型的な誤答と修正
改善前：
The classroom is enough big for twenty students.
改善後：
The classroom is big enough for twenty students.
理由：形容詞 big の後に enough を置きます。for の後で人数を示すのは自然です。

オリジナル場面英文：
An imaginary library permits loans for two weeks. Some students find the period too short to finish long books. Other students can finish shorter texts within the period. Staff may consider extensions, but none have been approved.

too と very は同じですか。
違います。too には望ましくない過度・基準超過が含まれる場合が多く、very は程度の強調です。
