「役に立つ」だけでは理由になりません。英作文では、誰に役立つか（beneficiary）と何の目的に役立つか（purpose）を明確にします。*helpful to beginners* は初心者にとって助けになること、*useful for reviewing vocabulary* は語彙復習という用途、*beneficial to students* は生徒への便益を表します。helpful for learners なども自然に使われるため、前置詞を一律の正誤でなく、文全体の意味と具体性から判断しましょう。

意味と語法を正しく書く4つの原則
- helpful to/for＋人：役立つ相手を明確にする。いずれも使える文脈がある。
- useful for＋名詞・動名詞：何をする用途に役立つのか示す。useful to＋人も可能。
- beneficial to/for＋人・対象：便益が及ぶ対象や目的を述べる。実証済みかを確認する。
- benefit＋人・対象（動詞）：helpfulと同じ語順にしない。見込みの便益は may / could で示す。
