英作文で「ごみを減らすために」と「再利用容器を使うことでごみを減らす」は異なります。to reduce waste は目的、by using reusable containers は実際の方法を示します。through・with・without も、何を使うか、どの行動なしで実現するかを表すため、後ろに続く形を確認します。

最初に確認する4つの学習ポイント
- by＋動名詞で手段・方法を表す。by use containers とはしない。
- through＋名詞・動名詞などで過程・手段を示す。
- with＋道具・支援、without＋名詞・動名詞で、何を使うか／使わないかを明確にする。
- 方法を説明しても、未実施の計画が成功したと断定してはいけない。
典型的な誤文と改善例
修正前：
Students can learn vocabulary by to review short lists.
改善後：
Students can practise vocabulary by reviewing short lists regularly.
全文和訳と理由：短い語彙表を定期的に復習することで語彙を練習できる。 by は前置詞なので動名詞 reviewing を続けます。
独自4英文・20問｜全問の改善例と和訳
各題材の英文を読んで日本語訳も確認し、次の5つの誤文を本文に忠実な英文へ修正します。言い換えとして自然でも、元の情報を強める・弱める・改変するものは不正確です。
学校の英単語復習
