Students may request Group A or Group B, but they may attend only one group each week. There are twelve places in each group. When a group reaches its limit, new requests will be added to a waiting list. Requests close at 4 p.m. on Friday. The organizer will send confirmation messages by Monday evening. A student who requested Group A should not join its video call until a place has been confirmed. Students may send questions about the timetable by email before the request deadline.

At the start of each exchange, a teacher will explain the rules for sharing pictures and audio. Students may show photographs of their school buildings, but they must not show another student’s private contact details. The video exchange will not be recorded by default. If the schools wish to make a short recording for a future presentation, they must first explain its purpose and obtain the necessary permission. Students who do not agree to be recorded can still join the live conversation. A student’s refusal of recording is not a refusal to participate.

Students who attend at least three video sessions and submit one reflection report by December 10 may receive a project completion certificate. The report should explain one cultural difference and one similarity that the student noticed. Simply joining three video calls is not enough without the report. Students who miss a session may read a summary written by a teacher, but reading that summary will not count as attendance. Certificates will be emailed in January after all attendance and reports have been checked.
