英検2級リスニングのWhy問題｜because・so・due toから理由を聞き取る独自36問＋4会話

英検2級リスニングで「なぜそうしたのか」を問われる問題では、行動そのものではなく、その直前・直後に出る理由表現を拾うことが重要です。because、because of、so、therefore、since、due toなどを聞いたら、原因と結果を分けます。

結論｜「行動」と「理由」を別々にメモする

例：She took a taxi because the train was delayed. → 行動＝took a taxi、理由＝train delayed。

独自36問

1. He stayed home because he was sick. → 理由：he was sick
2. She took a bus because the train was delayed. → 理由：train delay
3. The meeting moved because the room was unavailable. → 理由：room unavailable
4. They canceled the event due to rain. → 理由：rain
5. He left early because he had another appointment. → 理由：another appointment
6. She chose the cheaper plan because of the price. → 理由：price
7. The library closed early because of maintenance. → 理由：maintenance
8. The student studied at home because the library was full. → 理由：library full
9. The bus was late, so he called a taxi. → 原因：bus late
10. The weather improved, so the event continued. → 原因：weather improved
11. becauseの後ろは主語＋動詞。
12. because ofの後ろは名詞句。
13. due toの後ろは名詞句。
14. soの後ろは結果。
15. thereforeの後ろは結果・結論。
16. “Why did he leave?”なら行動ではなく理由を答える。
17. “What did he do?”なら理由ではなく行動を答える。
18. 原因と結果を逆にしない。
19. 変更前の理由と変更後の理由を混同しない。
20. 最後の決定理由が変わったら最終理由を優先。
21. “I was tired, but I still went.”→tiredは中止理由ではない。
22. “I wanted to go, but it was full.”→fullが行動変更の理由。
23. “Since it was late, we left.”→理由はlate。
24. “As it was raining, we stayed inside.”→理由はrain。
25. “Because of the cost, they chose another option.”→理由はcost。
26. “The store was closed, so she went elsewhere.”→原因はstore closed。
27. “The class was full; therefore, he registered for another one.”→理由はclass full。
28. “The road was busy, so they took the train.”→理由はbusy road。
29. “The ticket was sold out, so they changed the date.”→理由はsold out。
30. “The library was quiet, so she stayed longer.”→理由はquiet environment。
31. 理由を一語でメモしてよい。
32. 行動と理由を別欄にする。
33. 選択肢に理由語だけ一致していても主語が違えば不正解。
34. 理由が複数ある場合、質問がどれを聞いているか確認。
35. 最終確認：Whyに対してbecause以下を答えているか。
36. 最終確認：原因と結果の矢印が正しいか。
