英検2級リスニングで海外オンライン会議の予定を聞くときは、「こちらの現地時刻」「相手の都市の時刻」「どちらの日付で締切か」を区別します。慶英会独自の4会話24問を全台本・和訳・正答根拠付きで練習できます。音声は付属しません。各都市の時差はすべて台本内だけで設定した架空の条件であり、実際の国や都市の時差を示しません。

結論｜時差の向きと日付を2つの時計で確認

“two hours behind us”は相手の時計が2時間遅いという意味です。“three hours ahead”は3時間進んでいることを示します。日付をまたぐ場合には、数字だけでなくSaturday / Sundayの違いも確認しましょう。

海外校との交流会

A: Is our online exchange with the partner school still on Friday? B: Yes, but the start time has changed. Our school will connect at seven in the evening rather than six. A: What time will it be for the students overseas? B: For this event, their local clock is two hours behind ours. They will join at five in the afternoon. A: Is the meeting one hour long? B: No, it will last forty minutes. The first ten minutes are for introductions, and the remaining time is for group questions. A: Do we need to prepare a presentation?
